"Hogwarts, Hogwarts, Hoggy Warty Hogwarts,
Teach us something please,
Whether we be old and bald
Or young with scabby knees.
Our heads could do with with filling
With some interesting stuff,
For now they're bare and full of air,
Dead flies and bits of fluff.
So teach us things worth knowing,
Bring back what we've forgot.
Just do your best, we'll do the rest,
And learn until our brains all rot.

Arrival

Minerva McGonagall Avatar
The Hogwarts Express is every student's first exposure to the world of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. This is the first step in getting started at the school, and where students are encouraged to go should they have any questions.

If you are new to Leviosa, you will find an overview and information on how to enroll in this board.

Information Boards

Bellamy Drake Avatar
The Announcement Board is posted beside the doors to the Great Hall, and is home to any school-wide announcements, rule changes, or new information that all students and staff should be aware of.
Denzaban Lestrange Avatar
This board contains all the information of each character at Leviosa. You can find the Canon Character Claim, Face Claim list, and Plotter boards here, as well as each member's personal board, to contain whatever information each member desires.

The Main Courtyard

The winding road that leads down to Hogsmeade.
You must be a Third Year or older to leave the grounds with a signed permission slip. Students may only enter Hogsmeade on designated dates. Check the calendar or your House's bulletin board for the dates.

The Clock-Tower Courtyard

A large fountain in the center of the courtyard with a shingle covering. Four gargoyles guard its posts, though the years of students' pranks have worn them out. Ivy creeps along the stone, living off the water the fountain holds.
A tall stone tower housing the great clock. It leads into the courtyard and has a constant background noise of the loud gears shifting and the ticking of the massive pendulum.

The headmistress's office can be found near the clock-tower.

The Castle

Guest Avatar
The Great Hall is the center of life at Hogwarts School. Newly arriving First Years will be Sorted here upon arrival. Meals are held here three times daily, with staff in attendance, and holiday dinners are a grand event for those remaining at the castle. Mingle with your housemates or friends of other houses, engage staff in casual conversation, and perhaps discover clues to some school-wide events.

The Great Hall is the meeting place for the Dueling Club.
Located directly beneath the Great Hall, the kitchens are safely hidden away from curious students behind a portrait of a bowl of fruit. As long as nobody tickles the pear, the house elves' hard work will not be disturbed.

The Hufflepuff common room can be found just down the hall from the kitchens.

The dungeons are located beneath the caslte, and in fact, beneath the Black Lake. The walls are cold stone and the only light in the corridors comes from flickering torches.

The Potions classroom, Potions office, and Slytherin common room can be found down in the dungeons.

The Grand Staircase is the heart of Hogwarts Castle. It reaches every main floor of the massive building, and stretches higher than one can see. The walls are lined with a mismatch of portraits, all shapes, sizes, and subjects - who are quite lively. The staircases themselves shift of their own accord, swinging gently from wall to wall.

The second-seventh floors and all towers can be found off the Grand Staircase.

Archived threads will be moved here, to be perused and read at your leisure.

If you have completed a thread, please add COMPLETE to the beginning of the thread title, to alert our Librarian that the thread should be archived.
Here are all the books that are classified too advanced or dangerous to be placed at the reach of all students. To read the books here, you must have special permission from a teacher, who will send our librarian a message. The librarian will then give you the password for the book you need. Be forewarned: the passwords change everyday.

The Grounds

Holly Prince Avatar
The greenhouses are located beyond the castle walls, on the way down to Hagrid's hut and the Forbidden Forest. Herbology classes are held here, and the higher a student's year, the more access they have to the greenhouses that hold more complicated and dangerous plants.

Across the covered bridge and just shy of the Gamekeeper's cabin is the Quidditch pitch, a stadium set up specifically for Quidditch games and practice. There are two changing rooms to accommodate the two playing teams, as well as a broom shed housing the school's brooms.

A large stone cottage with a thatched roof. It's been rebuilt after being set on fire twice during Harry Potter's time at Hogwarts. The Gamekeeper keeps residence in the hut, maintaing a pumpkin patch in the back yard.

Care of Magical Creatures classes meet here.

The expanse of dark water that encircles the castle. Home to a Giant Squid, merpeople, grindylows, and many undiscovered mysteries. The lake is cold year-round, and in winter, the water freezes to make a suitable surface for ice skating. The shores of the lake are pebbly and shaded with trees, including a popular oak.
A small glass-walled structure located down a long path of stairs to the lakeside. The boats that take First Years across the lake are housed here. Students are forbidden from the top level of the boathouse as there have been reports of mysterious boxes emblazoned with the Weasely's Wizard Wheezes logo.
Off-limits to students of all ages, the forest is dark, thick, and deep, filled with all sorts of creatures. Not even the Gamekeeper knows all who live within the shelter of the trees, though in the past, there has been evidence of such creatures as acromantulas, unicorns, thestrals, gnarls, centaurs, and something called a Blast-Ended Skrewt. The only times students are permitted within the Forbidden Forest is during Care of Magical Creatures classes, or detention served with the Gamekeeper. In these instances, students must be in the company of either the Gamekeeper or Care of Magical Creatures professor at all times.

The Wizarding World

Edgar Rosier Avatar
London is the center of the United Kingdom, swarming with Muggles and wizards alike. Many wizarding homes can be found here, as well as Platform 9 3/4 at King's Cross Station, the wizarding hub Diagon Alley, and the grim, dark Knockturn Alley.
